The Portsmouth News reported today that local independent opticians, Anne Gill Eyecare, based in North End, Portsmouth, has just invested in new equipment called a Topographer which can be used to treat dry eye, re-shape the eye so contact lenses don’t have to be worn during the day, and control short-sightedness in children.

Anne Gill said: ‘One of my most exciting ambitions for the business has been realised. Topographers are an advanced and helpful development in optometry and I couldn’t be more proud to be bringing it to my customers.
